I’m Mattie Schuler, a freelance adventure journalist in Boulder, Colorado. My work includes reporting, writing, copywriting, editing, and managing.
My work has appeared in publications for REI, Outside, Backpacker, NatuRX, Men’s Journal, Men’s Fitness, Gore-Tex, Reebok, Elevation Outdoors, Gear Patrol, Yoga Journal, We Are Teachers, Parentology, Openfit, and Beachbody.
My writing has been published in national and local publications, and focuses on outdoor adventure, gear, health and wellness, yoga, running, skiing and snowboarding, travel, as well as education, teaching, and parenting.
I’m also an early childhood educator — both my writing and my teaching emphasizes the importance of nature, adventure, and exploring the world around us.
I hold Bachelors in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver. You can view my verification at Muck Rack.
